Making the end of 2009 more interesting....

Thanks for all of your encouragement and advice. I did see 10KL (stretchy, clear CM) once yesterday so it does seem like ovulation is delayed this cycle.

So I had something strange happen last night.

I apologize in advance if this is TMI.

So Mr. JB and I used a day of fertility (hee hee, I love it when my Creighton practitioner uses that term!) and afterwards I noticed a little bit of blood. Yesterday was CD16 and pre-surgery I did bleed when I ovulated. This morning I'm still spotting very, very lightly and I'm also seeing lots of fertile CM.

I panicked at first and the first thought that came to mind was, "Oh crap, the endo is back."

I know, I shouldn't be full of doom and gloom (although being back at my FIL's house, it's easy since it seems like anyone over 40 is all grumpy and down in the dumps!).

The spotting could just be a fluke (although I doubt it). Or perhaps I just ovulated and I spotted coincidentally when we bd'ed.

My ladyparts just love to make my life more interesting.

Advice? Opinions? Help!

  1. Sometimes where there is a big change in hormones the uterine lining can bleed a little. Possibly a good sign of a strong ovulation!

  2. I'm glad to hear that it looks like you ovulated (or are about to).

  3. Could also be that your cervix was sensitive. Lots of women can have a little spotting after BD for this reason.
But FJIEJ's reason is a good one, too, and I think I'll go with that!!

  4. Sorry to say that I have no advice. I can't seem to figure anything out in terms of the female body... but I will send prayers your way!

I'm praying that 2010 brings good things for all of us. :)

  5. I would say a little bleeding with "using a day" is possible especially if you had any discomfort at the time (even very very mild). I think that happened to me a couple of times, not long after I was married. Otherwise it would be more likely if you were NOT in your fertile phase, I believe, because your cervix would be lower and more likely to get whacked. Er, if you will.
