The Eve of the Big Infertile Adventure, Part Two

Our bags are packed. My travel outfit is laid out (yes, I am one of those people!).

The last thing I have to do is attend my last yoga class until December in the morning and then we're off.

It seems like we have been gearing up for this moment for six years.

And I am spent.

We are so blessed to be staying with friends just outside of Chicago and then Sunday morning after mass we are heading to Omaha.

Please pray for a safe journey and I am offering up all of my anxiety for those of you who are still waiting, with one particular barren wife in mind.

  5. Hey, I just had an idea!! We can have a tv show called The REAL Barren Wives of North America! ;)

And hopefully after only a few episodes, we'd have to cancel, cuz we wouldn't be barren anymore.

Praying for you and Mr JB. Safe travels.

  17. If you don't plan a travel outfit in advance, how can you be sure that you're wearing shoes that slip off, nothing that will set off the metal detectors, and your loveliest underwear for TSA? (And I used to think dressing for the RE was a big deal.) Or, if you're driving, an outfit that keeps you warm and comfortable for hours on end. I don't know how those last-minute people survive.
