Running on Fumes

I have had the busiest weekend of my life.

Here's my laundry list:

1) Did laundry (thank God that it was a week that our lovely cleaning lady came to clean our house!)

2) Ran errands/Did groceries

3) Volunteered at a barbecue at church

4) Helped put away groceries

5) Tried to do report cards, but didn't succeed

6) Participated in a dragon boat competition (had to be at the canoe club at 7:15am this morning!!!)

7) Did TWO yoga classes (one on Saturday and one this afternoon, post-regatta)

8) Made an appearance at my neighbour's daughter's birthday party

9) Finished marking my students' journals

10) Entered the last of my marks, but decided that I was too tired to enter the comments.

My reports are due on Wednesday and I was hoping to have them done by the end of the weekend, but I just didn't have the time nor the inclination to do so. I see my Napro doctor on Thursday and I'm hoping that I can convince her to do all of the tests that I want. I think that I'm looking more forward to having a day off!!!

In cycle news, it's Peak +10 and I finished my proper dose of HCG last night. I'm hoping that my hormones are better than they were the last time I saw my doctor!

And lastly, thanks so much for your comments on my last post. I'm still having a hard time with dealing the anger. I also think that I need to seek some professional help. I'm tired of feeling sad and angry and it's becoming more obvious that I'm not coping well on my own.

Now I'm off to bed! I'm pooped!

  1. I went to counseling for a little while (mostly because I was getting quite anxious related to IF) and it was really beneficial.

  2. Me too. I found a good counselor when my folks went through their divorce and it was VERY helpful. It's nice to bounce all of the pain off of someone who's not in pain like you are. I hope you find a good one and they can help. Great job getting all of that accomplished! You rock!

  3. Wow, that was a busy weekend!!

A good therapist can do a world of good. I am praying for you, as always, and I hope it's a great appointment on Thursday!

  4. That is one heck of a packed weekend.

There is a counselor who works at my clinic part time that deals with lots and lots of infertile women (and men, too.) I know you don't want to go back there at all, but she has another office.

  5. That's sure a productive weekend! And, yeah, obviously in the same boat WRT seeking counseling. I have to learn to cope better than this.

Also, would you be so good as to share the dosage/timing of your HCG regimen? I'm trying to become more familiar with what different people are prescribed as I make my next treatment decision.

  6. Wow, that's one busy weekend. I haven't done counseling but it sounds like a great help.

  7. I am currently experiencing the whole "it gets way worse before it gets better" of counseling that Erin warned me about. But it does feel like this is the beginning of a good ol' purge.

    I definately recommend it.

    Angry hugs all around!

  8. Wow, just reading that pooped me out- it's no wonder your tired! Sounds like a fun weekend (aside from the work).

I went to tehrpay for many years, for different reasons, but I think I learned so many coping mechanisms that it allows me to keep this IF crap in check. I am a much calmer more graceful person than I was years ago. I don't think it could hurt.

  9. You have my sympathy - crazy weekends STINK! (Can you tell I am a bit frustrated about my own busy weekends of late?) I seriously need my weekends to recharge the batteries and I feel so much better when I get adequate amounts of sleep and I am not talking extravagent - 7 1/2 - 8 hours is fine. I will be praying that you get some good rest and that this summer school program is not to stressful or overtaxing! (I am inspired that you got to YOGA twice, I didn't even get out for so much as a walk..ugh!)
