Surgery Update

Hello All,

Jelly Belly's surgery has been completed. It took just under two hours. She has been in her room since, roughly, 3:30. We have not spoke to the doctor. Jelly Belly is a great deal of pain and is working on her third cup of crushed ice. She's trying to sleep but it hasn't been working.

Thank you for all your Prayers.

That's all for now,

Mr. Jelly Belly

  1. It hurts like a bitch!!! But you can do it JB!!!!! Even with stupid so called pain killers!! hahahaha Sorry to be so blunt! Just keep pushing the button and don't get behind on those drugs.

If you can get up and walk as soon as you feel you are level headed. IT HELPS SO MUCH WITH PAIN MANAGEMENT!!! I promise you!

  2. I'm so sorry to hear you're (she's) in pain. My goal was to get off the narcotics immediately so I could have water, but I think I had it easy by comparison. I'll be praying for you - hope you feel better soon!!

  4. Oh I am so sorry she is in pain. She really should not be in too much pain today, the day of her surgery! What I am saying is that it is okay to push for more painkillers if these aren't cutting it.

I promise to pray for her.

We've all been there. The next couple of days are the hardest but the recovery will pick up dramatically after that.

  6. Mr. JB! Thanks for the update - please tell JB that if she can't sleep she needs to press the moriphene button a little more, don't be afraid of the drugs, and not to worry too much if her shoulders feel like they are going to explode - just need to get the gas out lots of burbing
    Big hugs.

  7. Make sure the ice pack is replaced often, too- - that really helps to numb the incision site.

Hang in there, JB, you're doing great!! We're all praying for you, and just think of what you can tell your baby some day... LOOK at what mommy went through to get you! (And you can show them the scar for added effect.)

  13. Yeah, this is one scenario when I hope you're not trying to tough it out. Get doped up and rest!

I really hope the pain eases soon and you get some deep, restorative sleep.

    You're in my prayers.
