I hate my thyroid

I asked my Napro doc to switch my thyroid meds when I saw her last month.

I dragged my feet because I had a feeling that switching would be tough.

And I wasn't wrong.

A week of headaches.

Low energy.

Horrible moods.

I'm feeling like garbage.

Could I ask for some prayers? I have a feeling that today isn't going to be a good day.

I have a feeling that I may be switching back....

  1. I have HUGE thyroid issues. For the past 20 years. Have you seen an endocrinologist? I have found that unless that is their "specialty" they do not have the complete picture ("they" being physicians.)

    1. My Napro doc is treating my thyroid. It wasn't until I had labs run in Omaha that my thyroid issues were discovered. If I can't figure out what's going on I'll have to ask for a referral for an endocrinocrinologist.

  2. I just had my thyroid tested last week and still have not gotten a call from the dr...should I assume all is okay? I guess I'm going to have to chase down the results...I've been feeling different myself so I'm wondering if my dosages need changing. Ugh. Thyroids can really mess us up. Hope you feel better soon.

    1. The main reason why I switched was cost. Compounded T3 isn't covered by our insurance whereas Armour is. It was starting to add up. Mr JB thinks that the cost is worth it, but if I can tolerate the new stuff I'd prefer it.

    2. I'm pretty sure Armour has changed their formula in the last few years. A lot of people are having problems with it! I hope you can get it figured out with your doc :(.

Do you know your Free T3 & Free T4 levels before you started new meds? That would tell you whats up!
