I am (trying to be) thankful

I am thankful that we finally contacted a social worker. I am also thankful that Mr JB sent the email since I really couldn't bring myself to do it.

I am thankful that tomorrow is a PD day and I don't have to teach students. I love my class, but I need a break.

I am thankful for good, hot tea. It was a cold morning and it really helped warm me up. What am I going to do this winter????? Oh yeah, wear the new winter coat that bought that's rated to -40.

I am thankful that we have almost paid off one of our bills from Creighton. One more payment and then we'll only have the big hospital bill to pay off (we'll be done paying that one off January 2014).

I am thankful that we are both gainfully employed so we can pay off the above bills.

I am thankful for being able to text my girlfriends that are far away. If it wasn't for your texts I would've already gone crazy.

I am thankful that AF started during mass. I was able to ask God for strength to get through another month.

I am especially thankful to work in a publicly funded Catholic school where I can pray whenever I want.

I am grateful for this blogging community. I know that even when I feel down and disappointed, I can come here and find comfort.

    I dislike all the thankful FB and blog stuff in general (really, I dislike anything that is mainstream, hehe) ... but this, I love :)

    Geesh...I wish I could be thankful for my kiddos...but right now...they are being a big old pain in my ... That is great that you are seeing the upside of things...I think that is what I need to be doing too. :)

    Yes, this is a very good list! I agree with y'all too! Somedays the FB thankful people get on my nerves (so awful of me lol)

    I like the reminder that we should try to be thankful, especially when it's hard and it doesn't seem like there is much to be thankful for.

    I just found your blog - an old entry on Christmas cards with no kids - and I felt like I could instantly relate with you, also being on year six of marriage and still sending the same no-kids Christmas cards. This is the first year it's really bothered me. And then I kept reading your entries, and am humbled by your continued positive attitude, even when you admit that it's hard and you're just barely keeping your head above water. I would like to pray for you and your husband, as well as the children that you influence daily in your classroom (I'm a teacher too, but grades 10 and 11 in a public school in Texas), and the children that will one day, after one way or another, call you Mom. I'm praying for peace and comfort for you and your husband, and for God's will to be revealed to you with wonderful news.
