Maybe this no exercising thing is a good thing...

As I was prepping dinner tonight I had a thought:

"If this was 'normal' JellyBelly, I would be a yoga class right now."

Instead, I was making a (I'm assuming since we haven't eaten it yet) tasty stir fry.

And yesterday, I made a very yummy dish for Tofu Tuesday (we normally eat Meatless Mondays, but we had a last minute dinner invitation to my fertile best friend's house, Mr. JB couldn't say no to roast beef!).

Don't get me wrong, I would love to be at the class I usually attend on Wednesday nights, but it's a great thing to make dinner for my husband.

I haven't cooked this much since we first got married!

I've also been able to get some organizing done in the kitchen -- since it's usually Mr. JB's domain it isn't always the most organized room in the house.

I also had energy this afternoon and I was able to crouch down at a kid's desk during math.

Two BIG victories!

And now all I have to do is finish my report cards. Which may be the other reason why I organized my spice cupboard last night!

    1. Don't worry Sew, we didn't actually eat tofu, it's just what we call meatless Tuesday. Mr JB wouldn't eat tofu if you paid him! We had organic green lentils. :)

  4. Procrastination during report card time is contagious. My house is amazingly clean during report cards. Actually happy to be on sick leave right now. ;) hehehehehe

So happy to hear of your increased mobility. Enjoy your newfound cooking as well. I love being in the kitchen.

    1. Yes, it definitely is a combination of being home and avoiding reports. I'm thinking of organizing my sock drawer next!

  8. Home cooking is a good thing! :) BUt I myself worry about eating tofu, I really limit it. (pytoestrogens? the Real Food hippies HATE the stuff - unless it is fermenteD)

  9. I eat, and love tofu. There is a lot of debate about weather tofu and soy products are good for endo or bad, I don't have the answer. The chinese doctor dude (the guy who was really into chi kung and macrobiotics for treating endo) was pro soy, so I take that stance.

I'm glad your back to cooking! I do 100% of the cooking in our house. I'm picky about the amount of animal fat I consume(because that is bad for the endo), so it only makes sense for me to do the cooking, and we have worked out a compromise, we rotate days, one day is meat product, next day is vegetarian. It's working great so far this year (if I had it my way we would be 100% veggie -so I'm compromising!)

  10. I need to have you come to my house and cook! :-) I'm not a cook at all.
Glad you're feeling good enough to crouch down. And that you "decided" to organize your Kitchen.

  11. Mmm...food. Sounds like you are enjoying a bit of domesticity. Good for you. When I'm having a good day, fibromyalgia makes for some bad ones, I love to cook. I find it relaxing. I also like knowing that I can control the sodium in my foods and make healthier dishes.
