Hello, my friends...

I have never been happier to take medication. EVER. And from a girl that has an "old man" pill sorter so she can keep everything straight, this is big.

The first vial is my T3, and the second and third are my prescription for Low Dose N.altrexone (since I've bee off of it since the end of October my doctor said that I need to slowly increase my dosage).

I know that I shouldn't put all my hopes on one medication, but I feel so victorious since I've suspected that I has hypothyroid for a few years. It wasn't until Dr. Hilgers ran my blood work in Omaha was it found that my numbers were off.

I am watching the clock until 6:30pm, the time that we decided was the best to take the T3. It has to be taken on an empty stomach and although it will be a pain to wake up early during the weekend, it's a small sacrifice to make for better health.

Yay!!!!

  2. Yeah, yeah, yeah...while I too don't love meds, I must say, meds have changed my world.

Praying for you in a special way.

  3. T3...is that synthroid? (I know T3 is part of my bloodwork.) Just curious.

  4. Hello. What dose of LDN do you start in. I saw a NaPro dr recently who prescribed it to me. I've been on 1.5 but going to increase soon. How long do you wait before increasing? I have noticed any benefits yet being on it. Wondering even if it might be making me bloated? Sounds like its a good fit for you. How is it beneficial for you. I had an undiagnosed thyroid problem and was unable to conceive for 5 years. The first cycle I took synthroid, I conceived! I hope it's the missing piece of the puzzle for you too.

  5. Barbie: Yes, it is time-release T3.

Patty: T3 is a thyroid supplement, I believe that synthyroid is another sort of thyroid medication (but I could be wrong, I'm a thyroid newbie!).

Lea: I was on LDN for a few years and I had to stop before my surgeries. I am on 1.5mg for a week, then 3 mg for a week then 4.5mg (which was my dose pre-op). It helped so much with my PMS! I missed it!

  8. Good luck!!! I showed The Man my handful of pills a week or so ago and he said "you're actually smiling as you take those?" The things we'd never thought would happen...

  10. I LOVE my T3! Be patient with PPVI...cuz they require a ton of documentation of temps and pulses. But it all makes sense. My temps finally started to go up at a dose of 22.5mcg twice a day. I hope this does the trick for you!

  11. JB ..T3 that isn't time release is better....if you can change it.

Patty, synthroid is T4 the "inactive" thyroid hormone. T3 is the active hormone. Synthroid is given with the assumption that the body will convert that "inactive" t4 into active t3. T3 obviously is just giving the body the active hormone straight...no conversion needed.

  12. Never underestimate the power of hormones, especially thyroid hormones! :) LOL

Go T3! Even though I hate his protocol, go T3! :)

  13. Let me know how you are responding to the medicine. I'm hoping I don't have to go back on thyroid meds but if I do I want to know which ones seem to work best.
