So, so sad

My fertile bf just told me that they're moving.

For the past seven years we have lived two minutes away from one another.

She lost her job a few months ago and she hates living away from her family. In the big picture it is so much better to be closer to their families.

I am so, so sad.

Now I have to hold it together and teach.

* They're moving two cities away. It'll be about an hour drive without traffic.

    I know just how you feel. I moved here to be with my husband and left all of my friends behind. My closest friend here is one of my sister in laws, and they told us a couple of weeks ago they are moving really far away, like half the country away. It has been so sad for me. I feel like someone has died. Hopefully, God will bring new friends into our lives.

    So sorry to hear that a close friend is moving away. Last summer, one of my closest friends asked if we would ever move back to where we grew up (this is where she still lives) and I answered "no". We love where we live now. She's a little over an hour away from us..without traffic too. I hope to see her soon!

    I had to laugh with your comment about traffic...I hear it gets pretty bad in your neck of the woods (so my cousins told me).

    I totally relate with my sisters moving away and possibly my best friend in the near future. In fact, I am "guilty as charged" too in some respects as I moved from literally walking distance from my best friend to 30 minutes away (although my sisters and best friend have/will move much, much farther). I am starting to hate this "global" world we live in. :) I want to be close to loved ones!!! Praying the transition is easy for you two.

    my bestie just moved to Germany last week. it's been quite an adjustment. hard, but okay. just like stupid IF, there are lessons to be learned in the suffering- blah, blah, blah. sorry to hear this news as you are winding up the school year :(

    I am so sorry!! I feel like I've moved away from every good friend I've ever had. However, the silver lining is that our friendships have usually grown even deeper through the distance.

    So sorry :( I was always the one moving growing up and never liked it.
    I hope your class is being nice to you these last few days! (And I cannot believe you have no a/c! I have no idea what it's like where you are, but just the thought of no a/c in TX makes me sweat! Hang in there!)

    That really sucks. It is hard when your best friend moves away, but you have such a great friendship that it will still work great, just differently. And less face to face. :-( let's hope that the teleporter is developed soon.
